The brief was to create a stylish and simple logo that would stand out amongst the competition. The client specified that they wished for a logo that showed the structure of paving but the natural element included.
The logo incorporates a geometric symmetry and precision that implies an attention to detail. The typeface Acre, in Light style, supports the logomark whilst also contrasting thin lines against block shape. This adds a unity with the combined logomark and wordmark, whilst also maintaining the separate parts' identities.
The business card shows a sharpness and clarity by harnessing the simple elements of the logo. I chose DIN Pro for the text on the rear, as it is a highly legible typeface and partners well with the wordmark. To add contrast the rear of the business card uses a deep navy to allow the text to pop off the card.
